I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I certainly did! All my children and their families came up on Christmas Eve and we all enjoyed watching the cousins playing together. Lovely!
My good friend sent me lots of embellies for scrapbooking and card making including some shimmer tape which I have always wanted to try.
I finished her "Thank You" card today, featuring one of my favorite images from the 'Joys of the Season' cart - the polar bear. I used lots of embossing and light blue pearl paper for the image shadows to make the white-on-white images 'pop.' So pretty! Thanks for visiting with me today. : ) Christine

A Christmas 'Thank You!' Card
I have a scrapbooking friend who creates wonderful layouts! Last Summer she helped me with some of the pages that I did for S and G, and on Christmas Day, I opened up a wonderful package stuffed with crafting goodies that she had mailed to me. Yeah!
Here's the 'Thank You!' card I made this morning for my friend. (I've had this idea in my head for a patchwork stocking for months. Thank goodness it is now out and I can get on with other stuff! KWIM?)
The stocking shape is from Echo Park in the Silhouette store. I could have used any of the Cricut Christmas carts but I find it easier to duplicate, align and weld with the Cameo software and I needed to make the top of the stocking open up to add my sentiment. Hope you can stand one more hexagon card!

Retro card!
I am trying to clean and reorganize the craft room and I came across a book of Cricut cards from way back when! I was astonished at how much styles have changed. For fun, I made a card using one of the early Cricut carts, Walk In My Garden, the oldest DCWV stack I could find, some spirelli thread, the still useful Falling Water border punch and some metallic alphabet charms. Here it is! Now I MUST get back to cleaning up. (sigh!) Thanks for visiting today. :) Christine
